About Ali K. Bazzi

"As parents, we want schools that are safe, welcoming, and academically rigorous. My priority as Trustee is simple: to make sure every tax dollar and every board decision directly serves our classrooms, supports our educators, and opens doors for every single student."

- Trustee Ali K. Bazzi

A husband, father of three young children, and a proud product of our local educational community—attending Dearborn Public Schools, Henry Ford College, and graduating from the University of Michigan-Dearborn—Ali K. Bazzi’s commitment to our schools is personal. Growing up in our neighborhood classrooms, Ali understands the strengths of our community and the high expectations parents have for their children’s education.

With a career in business and marketing, Ali has leveraged his professional skills for over a decade to deliver results for those in need across Dearborn. A dedicated advocate for children of all abilities, Ali partnered with the City of Dearborn to build three inclusive public parks, championed statewide alert legislation to protect vulnerable children and adults, and has helped raise more than $300,000 for local families facing severe poverty. As a local running coach, he established a youth running program focused on building confidence, discipline, and healthy habits in Dearborn’s youth.

Appointed to the Board of Education in September 2025, Trustee Ali K. Bazzi provides steady, collaborative governance for Dearborn Public Schools and Henry Ford College. During his tenure, Ali helped select new executive leadership for both institutions and advanced a comprehensive, districtwide infrastructure plan to modernize facilities.

On the board, Ali’s focus remains clear: setting clear policies and financial stewardship that includes advocating for all of our students, building for the future, and strengthening the relationships between families and the district.

Leadership Across Dearborn’s Entire Educational Pipeline

Every member of the Dearborn Public Schools Board of Education automatically serves concurrently as a Trustee on the Henry Ford College Board of Trustees. This structure gives board members direct oversight of the city’s full educational pipeline—from early childhood classrooms through two- and four-year collegiate degrees and workforce training programs. Ali leverages this dual governance to align P–12 academic standards with higher education readiness, maximize public resources, and build clear career pathways for every student in our community.
